A LITTLE ABOUT me
Hi, it’s me, Thohir. My full name is Thohir Ash Shiddiqie. I used to go by the nickname “Thoohir,” but since I felt it was too short, I decided to use my real name in my creative path.
I'm calling myself as a beginner filmmaker, even though I’ve been at it for four years now. However, I'm still underground and have much to learn about filmmaking. My interest in the film industry began when I watched Parasite in 2020, a year before I graduated high school. Honestly, that movie changed my life forever. After watching it, I started experimenting with making my own short films; written, directed, and acted by me.
I've been doing this consistently because I feel my path to entering the industry isn’t straightforward. Nearly 99% of the films I've produced so far are collaborations with friends and acquaintances, all low-budget projects. I'm still working hard to create something that could be accepted by major festivals, with the sole purpose of making my presence known in this industry.

In 2020, I found a studio called TIKLIP Film, or as I often call it TL Film. Using that studio name, and with the filmmaking skills I self-taught out of my love for cinema, my brother Ahmed Stevan and I created numerous short films, reels, and music videos with minimal equipment. Sometimes I borrowed cameras from friends, and other times I used my old, low-quality phone camera. However, that didn't matter because I firmly believe that all our filmmaking efforts will pay off someday.
Every film I write and direct automatically carries the TIKLIP FILM label.
Graphic Design & Photography
I can make thumbnails for YouTube videos, poster art (some examples are available on thohirash.com/tiklip), or anything related to photo design. I'm also a freelance photographer and graphic designer. You can support me by buying my photos on Shutterstock.
Film/Video Editor
I can edit both films and entertainment videos. Some of my notable work can be found on Ahmed Stevan's YouTube channel. I also create my own content on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
script writing & storyboard design
I create my own film concepts by drawing storyboards, designing logos, and making film posters. I also write my own films. You can read some of my screenplays and storyboards by clicking the link below.
Animation
I started making short animations in 2012 using Macromedia Flash 8. Since then, I’ve been creating animations with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Animate.
